Devourer of Birds is a piece that must be seen from the front, as it only has two dimensions. This is why its author commented on his visit to the Viera y Clavijo Park (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) in 1994 that the work had to be located in a place with a background, and what better background than the trees in the park, which are true sculptures of nature.
The work seems to have been conceived with great simplicity as well as its execution, which is very schematic, but in the background, it is developing complicated emotional mechanisms of the human personality, related to the particular interest that the artist has in psychiatry and child psychology.
