The I International Exhibition of Street Sculpture took place in the City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife between December 1973 and January 1974.

Artistas reunidos en una oficina de Escultura en la Calle

A total of 43 international artists were present who, for the enjoyment of the public, exhibited their works outside the museum spaces, many of them remaining definitively in the streets, squares and parks of the city to this day.

Twenty-one years later, in 1994, the II International Exhibition of Street Sculpture was held, with the presence of 13 artists who increased the number of works, and the exhibition even expanded beyond the city limits, as in the case of the work Tensei Tenmoku by the Japanese artist Kan Yasuda, which was located in Garachico’s dock.
