Carla departs from the portrait that the artist made of a 14-year-old girl, an image that he later transformed into his computer in ‘a random way’ and which in this case ‘is elongated, compressed, elaborated and with different hair’. ‘What I do keep is the soul of this person because I believe that these works, with the eyes closed, preserve something that belongs to all of us. When you see this head, it could be your daughter’s, your love’s or your lover’s, and it’s all very important. It is not Carla‘s head, it is the head of any of us’, confessed the artist who concluded by saying that the sculpture is no longer his, it belongs to the city and he wished that they take care of it and that they love it as much as he loves it.
