“In his “Homage to Millares” (stainless steel, 1972), Claude Viseux applies the technical possibilities of industry with mobile and noise effects, enriching not only the sculpture in its historical stop as a radiant object in contemplation, but also subjecting it to a voluntary movement with sound effects. It is therefore a work of participation, a work that needs the collaboration of humans.“

“From France came the ingenious mobile Homage to Millares, in stainless steel, the work of Claude Viseux, a constructivist conception of vigorous mechanicism, apparently distanced from Millares’s destructive and expressionist message.”
